What should a chauffeur business card say?
Your name, "Private driver" or "Chauffeur", your city, two or three services, a phone or WhatsApp number, and a QR code that opens your page. No more than that, because a card gets read in a few seconds, often in the back of the car.
Updated 13 September 2026.
Why the card still matters
A passenger who enjoyed the ride asks for your number. Dictate it and they get a digit wrong, or forget it before they reach their hotel. Hand them a card and they keep it, and next time they fly they know who to call.
Drivers say it themselves on the forums: having no card when a client asks for one costs you credibility. But a card on its own converts poorly. It earns its keep when it lets someone book in one move.
The essentials, on the front
- Your first and last name. The client is booking someone they met, and that's the name they'll look for.
- Your trade in two words: "Private driver", "Chauffeur" or "VTC driver", whichever your clients understand.
- Your city or area. "Lyon and Saint-Exupéry airport" tells them straight away whether they've got the right person.
- Two or three services, say airport transfers and business travel. Not the full list.
- A direct contact: a number that takes calls and WhatsApp. Add an email if your clients are mostly businesses.
On the back: the QR code
With the QR code, the passenger has nothing to copy. They scan it with their phone camera and land on your page, where they find your services, your prices if you show them, and buttons to call or message you.
Two precautions:
- The QR code must keep working. If you change your link or page, a printed QR code pointing at the old address leads nowhere. Pick a QR code that goes through a fixed address.
- Test it before printing, with two different phones, indoors and in low light (roughly the light inside a car at night).
Worth adding if you like
- Your VTC register number. It's already on your windscreen badge, and business clients notice it.
- Languages spoken. "English and French spoken" is gold near an airport or station.
- Your vehicle: "Hybrid saloon" or "7-seat van" helps the client choose.
Avoid
- Exact prices that change. Put them on your page, which you edit in a minute, rather than on 100 cards.
- App logos. The card is about you, and about no platform.
- Too much text: beyond six lines, nobody reads.
- Fancy typefaces. The number has to read at a glance.
