How does my QR code work, and where is my public link?

Once your site is published, your QR code leads to your public page and your link shows on your Home. A client who scans the code or opens the link lands straight on your site.

Your public link

Your published site has a stable address in your name: app.chauffeur-pro.com/your-name, the same in French and English. (Old /chauffeur/… and /driver/… addresses redirect to it.) Two drivers with the same name each get their own, and yours stays the same if you unpublish and republish.

While your site is published and your subscription is active, Google can show it when someone searches for your name or for a driver in your town. To keep it out, turn off "Show my website in search results" in Settings. The site stays online and your QR codes keep working; Google takes a few days to a few weeks to drop it.

You'll find it on your site card on Home as soon as the site is published.

Your QR code

When someone scans your QR code, Chauffeur Pro counts the scan and sends them straight to your public page. Your passenger reaches your site without typing anything, even with a suitcase in one hand.

The QR code is already built into your sharing materials (see The free sharing kit) and shows in the Store previews, on the business card and on the sticker. It always points to your public page.

Tip: a QR only works once your site is published. While it's still a draft, the link shows "not available".

Sharing your profile

Face to face, the easiest is to let people scan the QR: on your card, on the sticker on the window, or right on your phone screen.

From a distance, copy your link and send it by text, WhatsApp or email, or post it on your socials.

The scans and visits that come from it are counted on your Home (see My numbers / analytics).
