How do I publish my site? How does the free trial work?

What publishing needs

1. A complete profile. If something's missing, Chauffeur Pro tells you what, and the site stays a draft. The minimum is your first name and a way to be reached that actually shows: a phone or email and at least one contact button switched on in Profile. A saved number with every button switched off doesn't count, because your page would show no way to book you.
2. An active subscription. If you don't have one yet, the publish button sends you to the Pricing page, then brings you back to the editor once you've subscribed.

The very first time you publish, a message reminds you that you're responsible for what goes live, including any sample text or photos you haven't replaced, and points to the terms. No extra step: the publish goes through with the same tap.

The free trial

• It lasts 7 days, and your card is asked for up front.
• On day 7 it turns automatically into a paid subscription, unless you've cancelled before then. You don't have to do anything.
• It's offered once per driver. If you've subscribed before and come back, you go straight to paid.

The trial clock starts when you publish, not when you create your account.

Subscribing

On the Pricing page, pick monthly or yearly, then pay by card through Stripe Checkout, Stripe's secure payment page. VAT (or whatever tax applies where you are) is worked out at checkout from your billing address, and you keep access to an invoice that shows it.

Prices come from Stripe, so we don't put a figure here. The Pricing page in the app always shows the current rate.

What happens if a payment fails?

A declined renewal moves the subscription to "past due". Your site stays live the whole time Stripe retries the charge, so a card that's blocked for a couple of days at the end of the month doesn't take your page down.

The site only goes offline if the subscription ends up cancelled or unpaid (retries run out, or a cancellation reaches its end date). The public page and the QR then show "not available".

Either way, your draft is kept. Nothing is deleted, and re-subscribing publishes the same site again.
